JONATHAN SHRAMKO
Managing Partner
Jonathan Shramko is a graduate of Colgate University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board (now known as the Moot Court Honor Society). He began his litigation career working for Harry Lipsig, often referred to as the “King of Torts.” He then worked for Gerald H. Ullman, an authority on international trade and transportation law. He has served as Associate General Counsel to the New York/New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association and the National Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association. In that capacity he advised members of the Associations concerning their duties and responsibilities under federal law and regulations, and represented the interests of Association members in the drafting of federal legislation and regulations. While at Gerald H. Ullman, P.C., he litigated widely in State and Federal Courts and the Federal Maritime Commission. Since 1987 he has been in private practice litigating major civil cases with an emphasis on personal injury in the areas of general liability, product liability and medical malpractice. He is a member of the N.Y. State Academy of Trial Lawyers and is admitted to practice in New York State and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York..

    • LARGEST MOTOR VEHICLE AWARD IN N.Y. STATE IN 2013: $36 million dollar verdict for a N.Y. City Police Officer who was seriously injured in an automobile accident with a N.Y. City Transit Authority vehicle. Verdict was the largest award in a motor vehicle case in New York State in 2013
    • $5 million dollar verdict for a passenger in a minibus that flipped on the N.Y. State Thruway
    • $4 million dollar verdict for the driver of a car seriously injured due to the City’s failure to maintain a roadway prone to flooding
    • $1.5 million dollar settlement for an infant who sustained lead poisoning due to landlord negligence in maintaining a N.Y. City apartment
    • $750,000 settlement for a N.Y. City sanitation worker, who sustained a leg fracture due to a defective metal grate on his salt spreader. Case was settled after a jury verdict of $1.5 million
    • $675,000 for an infant who sustained Erb’s Palsy during delivery
    • $626,000 settlement for a construction worker who sustained multiple fractures in a fall caused by a defective scaffold
    • $595,000 settlement for a N.Y. City Police Officer who sustained a herniated disc when defective brakes on his scooter failed

GEORGE SWITNICKI
Of Counsel
George Switnicki is a graduate of New York University and Brooklyn Law School. After clerking for a Judge of the N.Y. City Civil Court, Mr. Switnicki has been in private practice concentrating in the areas of commercial law and real estate. He is affiliated with a major N.Y. City Savings and Loan Association and performs many of its real estate closings in the metropolitan area and upstate New York. He lectures regularly to attorneys and real estate professionals. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in New York State and Florida.
